    • Safari route choice

    • Date & time of safari

    • Pick up / meeting point location.

  4. Bookings will be confirmed via email from Dorset Safari.

  5. Depending on party size, your safari will then be booked and reserved potentially with the addition of another small party. Maximum passenger numbers are 6 persons. If you would like to book a private safari just for your party, please ask prior to booking.

  1. The UK weather is not likely to stop the safari and come rain or shine we will still go ahead, so do bring suitable clothing and footwear for your trip.

  2. Should we receive an extreme weather warning we may then have no choice but to cancel the safari. If that were to happen then you will be entitled to transfer your booking to an alternative day or a full refund.

  3. If you need to cancel your booking, we will issue a full refund provided a minimum of 10 days notice was given before the date of the safari.

  4. In the event that we cannot deliver the safari due to illness or vehicle breakdown, we will provide a full refund or offer the potential to move the safari to an alternative date.

  5. Full refunds will be issued if government restrictions due to Covid-19 come into force which do not permit us to run the safari.

  1. The Land Rover seats up to 6 passengers, so we can accommodate parties of 2-6 people. Should you have larger party sizes, we will endeavour to source a further vehicle.

  2. Please ensure you have had a hearty breakfast or lunch before the safari, as consumption of food and drink (apart from water) is not permitted inside the vehicle.

  3. Pets unfortunately are not able to join us, as we are likely to meet both farm and wild animals when making stops along the safari.

  4. The safari starts and ends in Swanage, however pick up from your Airbnb, hotel, campsite or even train station / airport may be an option, so please ask prior to booking.

  5. The safari will drive on some public roads, however the real experience on the safari will be navigating muddy lanes, cross-country byways and farm tracks which we have handpicked. However our safaris are gentle and comfortably paced so everyone can enjoy the ride and the scenery. There are a few rougher sections we navigate on the route, but we take those parts at a slow pace for your comfort and enjoyment.

  6. Safaris are undertaken at the guest’s own risk and Dorset Safari accepts no responsibility for any loss or injuries due to the nature of the 4x4 vehicle or the terrain on the safari.

  7. On the safari, we will stop at a number of points of interest, so please come with suitable clothing and footwear to leave the comfort of the vehicle and be prepared for some mud! Also don’t forget your camera / phone as the views are absolutely stunning!

  8. Should any in your party have impaired mobility or you have concerns over suitability, please do share with us prior to booking so we can accommodate your needs where possible. The Land Rover itself has excellent side and rear steps to aid entering or leaving the vehicle, though it is higher than a normal vehicle and the ability to enter and exit is needed to join the safari.

  9. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and exceptional home-made cake is provided on the safari. The view from Heaven’s Gate when having this is simply incredible.
